- Clinical Denial Prevention The Clinical Pharmacist reads and interprets all medication orders and prescriptions received by the pharmacy.
- Additionally, the clinical pharmacist compounds and dispenses medications and supervises pharmacy technicians and interns who do the same.
- The clinical pharmacist will also assist with various clinical activities including rounding, attendance at CODE/Trauma cases, reviewing Clinical/Operational reports for appropriate, cost effective therapeutic interventions, and staffing pharmacy outpatient services including anticoagulation, diabetes and MTM clinics.
- The clinical pharmacist will also assist with precepting pharmacy students, educating nursing and/or medical staffs and assist with quality efforts through serving on and preparing materials for hospital committees/initiatives as requested.
- 2.1 Dispenses narcotics/controlled substances according to hospital policy.
