- Thorough knowledge of clinical therapy practices, and of the psychological, social, environmental, physical and psychiatric factors affecting mental illness or disability;
- Familiarity with and ability to understand all policies and procedures of the Department, oversight regulatory programs (Office of Mental Health) (Office of Medicaid Inspector General), and be willing to promptly report any violations or suspected violations of the programs policies and procedures.
- Minimum Qualifications: *Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or Master’s Degree in Art Therapy.
- Licensure as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker), or in possession of a Limited Permit to practice as a LMSW or must apply for a Limited Permit to practice as a LMSW within two weeks of hire and obtain same.
- Licensure as a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), or possession of a Limited Permit to practice as a LMHC or must apply for a Limited Permit to practice as a LMHC within two weeks of hire and obtain same.
