- Performs difficult professional work related to design, construction, and inspection of construction and land development projects.
- Reviews subdivision, site plans, and other development review plans and specifications for local, state, and federal regulatory compliance
- Works with various County departments, to include the Department of Planning & Zoning and the Department of Capital Construction;
- Thorough knowledge of modern principles and practices of civil engineering; General knowledge of design, construction, inspection, maintenance, and cost estimating related to public improvements; Thorough knowledge of land and engineering survey systems, methods, and techniques; Ability to prepare technical reports pertaining to engineering projects; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, official consultants, and the general public.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in civil engineering or related field, and 1 to 2 years of experience in construction or engineering design.
