- Position Summary The Chief Maintenance Engineer (CME) is responsible for fulfilling the technical aspects of the maintenance contract, ensuring that facilities are well maintained and operable, and for managing the maintenance staff under her/his supervision.
- She/he serves as the technical spokesperson for the facility during client meetings and serves the role of lead technician.
- Assigns and schedules work, answers questions, and serves as primary quality control inspector.
- The CME may spend up to 80% of her/his time performing work orders as required.
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance activities on systems to provide continuous performance of HVAC, electricity, gas, life safety, security, and other systems required for operations.
