- The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) position is located in the Office of Managing Director of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
- The CAO of the FCC assists the Managing Director in carrying out his/her responsibilities as the chief administrative official of the Commission, whose responsibilities include broad discretionary power and authority to act on administrative and operational matters.
- The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), will also assist the Managing Director in carrying out their responsibilities as the chief administrative official of the Commission, whose responsibilities include broad discretionary power and authority to act on administrative matters.
- Key responsibilities and services also include assisting and actively participating in formulation and execution of administrative policies and programs for the Commission, including such areas as space management and utilization, building operations and maintenance, security operations, information security, automotive transportation and property management.
- Advises and submits recommendations to the Managing Director, Bureau and Office Chiefs and directly to the Chairwoman and Commissioners and the Chief of Staff regarding these matters, including the review of administrative systems, and other related subjects to improve efficiency, accountability, customer service and administrative management of the Commission.
