- Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to development of new analytical techniques to support test water analysis, investigation of metal specimen degradation, metal surfaces and water chemistry, development and maintenance of chemistry and waste management procedures, training of procedures, and the development, operations and maintenance of an analytical chemistry laboratory.
- The individual will be responsible for properly maintaining administrative and operational aspects of the chemistry laboratory, including the identification, characterization, and handling of emissions, discharges, and wastes to ensure environmental regulatory compliance.
- Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience Preferred Skills Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation including Benchtop chemistry, TIC/TOC analyzer, IC, and ICP.
