- Our functional architecture team is responsible for suspension, steering, brakes, wheels/tires, and chassis systems.
- Create advanced design concepts of chassis components and systems (brakes, steering, suspension, wheels/tires/jacks) for Ford global vehicles and next-gen EV architectures.
- Lead new component design / package maturation in CAD. Examples are stampings, castings, forgings, coil springs, shock absorbers, bushings, ball joints, fasteners, active suspension systems, brake systems, and steering systems.
- Oversee architecture system integration & installation, working with body, electrical, powertrain, vehicle operations, and vehicle architecture.
- Perform chassis system analysis for kinematics and compliances, working with vehicle dynamics and NVH attribute teams.
