- An individual in this capacity will work as part of the Capital Improvement Program analyzing, evaluating, developing, implementing departmental procedures and business processes related to the overall management of City projects, to include water, sanitary, sewer, drainage, roadway, transportation, and building projects within the City's Capital Improvements Project Portfolio.
- Works in conjunction with other members of the Capital Improvements division to prepare the annual Capital Improvements Program budget and projects list by performing an analysis to include, but not be limited to: cost estimates of existing and future projects, program budget forecasting, staff workload capacity, and project timeframes for water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, roadway, transportation, and building projects.
- Supervises contractors and engineer consultants in the preparation of scope of work for professional services including the design for water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, roadway, transportation, and building projects.
- Reviews plan preparation for roadways, water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage systems, roadway, transportation, and building projects through professional consultants.
- Must possess an active certificate of registration as an Engineering Intern (EI), or Professional Engineer (PE), or Miami-Dade County General Contractor (GC) license.
