- Provide research engineering support for administrative, technical, and practical (hands-on) support of day-to-day operations of a medical research laboratory performing specialized injury orthopedic and biomechanics research with volunteers, human surrogates, and post mortem human subjects (PMHS) in accomplishment of U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) Injury Biomechanics mission.
- Prepare, maintain, calibration, and repair all ATDs, ATD parts, ATD sensors, and mechanical surrogates to ensure availability and functionality for studies.
- Work on human cadaver studies to include all instrumentation and electronic data acquisition aspects of preparation, execution, repair, set-up, and post-execution.
- Work on human mechanical surrogate studies, including all aspects of developing in-house calibration, ensuring out-of-house calibration, preparation, execution, repair, set-up, and post-execution.
