- Perform skilled work at a journey level in the installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of the microprocessor based distributed automation systems which control and monitor building heating, cooling, air-conditioning, laboratory systems, lightening, metering, life safety, security, and miscellaneous other building systems.
- This job is a promotional step from a Building Controls Technician II, and requires successful completion of skill assessments and 1.5 years of experience as a Building Controls System Technician II.
- Candidate must have former training in Johnson Controls programming for DDC controls operations.
- Candidate must have a minimum of three years prior experience programming and operating Johnson Controls Metasys DDC systems in commercial applications.
- Energy Management oversees MU’s district-energy system, which provides utility services to more than 15 million square feet of facilities including hospitals and clinics, a research reactor, research facilities, laboratories, academic buildings, residential halls, dining facilities, recreational and athletic facilities, computing centers and administrative buildings.
