- All employees may be subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official job description.
- Enforces local ordinances, resolutions and laws pertaining to such areas as fishing licensure, parking enforcement, dress code compliance, and boat storage.
- Performs various public safety tasks in ensuring public and citizen welfare; performs water rescues; administers first aid; reports suspicious activity/persons via police dispatch; assists with disabled/stranded vehicles.
- Performs wildlife protection duties, such as pelican rescue/recovery from fishing lines/nets; enforcement of fishing regulations; and enforcement of wildlife protection regulations; disposes of dead fish and animals found on the beach or roadway; transports ill/injured wildlife to Conservancy.
- High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two (2) years public service related to regulatory or law enforcement experience
