- Evaluate and troubleshoot facility and manufacturing control systems consisting of PLCs, VFD’s, computer controls, HMI interfaces, as well as controls and process instrumentation Troubleshoot or modify existing PLC programs and make system hardware recommendations to resolve operation problems, improve processes, to support factory initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Advanced understanding of networks and ability to troubleshoot common outages and system communication issues Repairs critical electrical equipment, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and completes projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades Repairs or replaces control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starts, thermocouples, etc.
- Repairs and replaces defective components in motors, generators, controllers, switchboards, conductors, switches and varied electrical fixtures Installs, maintains and repairs electrical, electromechanical, and electronic parts of machinery, equipment, and facilities (doors, truck docks, railroad, etc.)
- Supervises and maintains calibrating of instrumentation and supporting records Performs defensive repair and preservation of electronic and electrical systems, equipment, and devices Tests solid-state circuitry to determine defective components along with defective parts replacement
