- Reporting to the Academic Advising Center, the Athletic Certification Officer is an independent authority and subject matter expert responsible for obtaining, evaluating and documenting the academic credentials of current, former and potential student-athletes in accordance with the NCAA, Sunshine State Conference and Lynn University policy.
- Working independently under the general supervision of the Director of Academic Advising, the Athletic Certification Officer determines the athletic academic eligibility of all student-athletes for NCAA Division II practice and competition in collaboration with Athletics, the Registrar's Office, Admissions, academic advisors, and a broad set of campus stakeholders.
- Monitor, interpret, apply and certify eligibility within University policies and regulations, the Sunshine State Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports under limited supervision.
- Provide academic data for NCAA and Sunshine State Conference reporting requirements as needed, such as the GSR and ASR reports.
- Collaborate with representatives from the compliance office in the athletic department, deans, admissions, institutional research, international student services, financial aid and any other relevant department within the University.
