- The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University, invites applications for a Tenure System (TS) or a multi-year renewable Health Programs (HP) Faculty Appointment position in Comparative Ophthalmology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience.
- In addition to dogs, cats and horses, the service sees a large variety of exotic species and wildlife from zoos throughout the state.
- The Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) is a modern, fully equipped facility with extensive therapeutic and diagnostic equipment.
- The VMC provides outstanding, dedicated veterinary technician support and superb facilities, including in excess of 30 examination rooms (4 devoted to ophthalmology), 12 operating suites (1 dedicated to ophthalmology), an intensive/critical care unit, a nursing unit, a complete diagnostic imaging and a radiation therapy facility.
- Furthermore, the service has access to a 64-slice helical CT scanner and a 1.5 Tesla MRI (new 3T unit is on order).
