- Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the Department of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) seek to recruit an internationally recognized physician-scientist to serve as Division Chief for Hematology-Oncology and Director of the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) at CHLA.
- As Director of the CBDI, the position will report jointly to the President/Chief Executive Officer and the Pediatrician-in-Chief at CHLA. As Chief of the Division of Hematology-Oncology, the position will report to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics of the USC Keck School of Medicine.
- The position includes membership at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and an academic appointment through USC Keck School of Medicine at the level of Associate Professor or Professor, appropriate to training and experience.
- The Chief/Director will oversee the research, treatment, prevention, and education programs in pediatric hematology, oncology, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation/cellular therapy.
- The Division has a large clinical trials operation that supports programs in hematology, oncology, and transplantation/cellular therapy with over 620 enrollments on 250 clinical trials in FY23.
