- The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) in the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering at South Dakota State University (SDSU) invites applicants for a 9-month, full-time, benefits-eligible, tenure-track faculty position at the academic rank of Assistant Professor in Computer Science with a tentative begin date of Spring 2024.
- We are seeking applicants who are interested in developing an active research program that engages SDSU students and seeks external funding.
- Several faculty members in the EECS department are NSF-funded and publish in top research venues, with concentrations in big data, computer networks, natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- The ideal candidate will be expected to teach and perform research in one of the following preferred areas in computer science (CS); software engineering (SE), Big Data, cloud computing, machine learning and deep learning, or closely related areas.
- The College has a rich history of success in fulfilling its land-grant mission in teaching, research, and outreach and is made up of six departments: agricultural and biosystems engineering, civil and environmental engineering, construction and operations management, electrical engineering and computer science, mathematics and statistics, and mechanical engineering.
