- The Music Department within the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa seeks a full-time, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies to begin August 2024.
- The primary teaching responsibilities of this position are to conduct the Chamber Singers (UT's premiere mixed, auditioned choir) and the select women's choir Camerata, as well as to oversee and teach the department's aural skills sequence for music majors.
- We seek a faculty member with a passion for teaching who will work to grow and maintain a high quality collegiate choral program, help to attract a diverse student body through recruitment activities on and off campus, and conduct scholarly research appropriate to the candidate's area of specialty.
- Additional responsibilities include teaching choral conducting and choral methods courses, as well as teaching general education courses such as Music Fundamentals and Music for Life (music appreciation) if necessary.
