- This includes all operations and instructional and recreational programming that take place at outdoor adventure site locations off campus, as well as at the Barreca Climbing Wall and Waterfront Pavilion.
- Ensure that the climbing wall and outdoor adventure program operations are in compliance with Massachusetts Department of Public Safety regulations and all other governing laws.
- Assist the Manager of Outdoor Programs to create, develop and enforce rules and regulations and hire, train and supervise instructional and operational climbing staff, outdoor adventure staff and outdoor gear rental staff.
- Teach train the trainer and advanced Physical Education, Recreation and Dance credit and non-credit rock climbing and outdoor adventure courses.
- Knowledge and experience of various outdoor activities including waterfront and indoor rock climbing; leadership experience; experience in teaching/facilitating groups of varying ages/abilities/demographics; risk management; strong judgment and safety awareness; drivers license and willingness to obtain certification to drive a 12 passenger van.
