- An Assistant Driller is responsible for a variety of field centric duties including, driving the drill rig or semi-truck and trailer, which requires Class A CDL with air brake endorsement (SME will assist you in obtaining your Class A CDL), maintaining the drill rigs, troubleshooting equipment problems, and working with a Driller to complete assignments using various drilling and sampling techniques.
- Drilling and Sampling: Assist and work with a lead Driller to complete assignments using various drilling and sampling techniques, including lifting and other manual work as required.
- Detailed Reporting: Prepare detailed reports that encompass complex field observations, precise test results, and sophisticated analysis of construction processes.
- Collaboration: Work with Driller Mentor and traffic control subcontractors to SME when required for roadway work projects.
- Technological Proficiency: Use construction technology tools and software to streamline data collection, reporting, and project management processes.
