- State of Massachusetts Assistant Director of Workforce Programs and Initiatives 600 Washington Street , Massachusetts Apply Now The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) is seeking qualified applicants for the Assistant Director of Workforce Programs and Initiatives.
- The AD of Workforce Program and Initiatives within DTA’s Employment and Training unitoversees several programs and initiatives under the umbrella of DTA Pathways to Work, including the CIES and WPP. CIES is a pay for performance, outcomes-driven employment service program that provides training, education, and job readiness services through contracted providers across the state to families interested in obtaining employment.
- Since the passage of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in 2014, DTA has worked closely with the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) to implement a new, more integrated system of workforce development for DTA clients and other priority populations with significant barriers to work and develop meaningful pathways to work and economic mobility.
- Work collaboratively with FEWs, DTA local office supervisors and managers to ensure client centered engagement.
- Represent the Department at community and state agencies by presenting to advisory and neighborhood groups, reviewing, and supporting funding applications and participating in state and federal level convenings and discussions that involve DTA clients.
