- The Assistant Director-Lead Distiller of the SPSCC Craft Brewing and Distilling Program reports to the Dean of Applied Technology and assists with the coordination, planning, and support of the program in its goal to offer high-quality and comprehensive education and training in craft brewing, cider making, and distilling.
- The Assistant Director-Lead Distiller should be familiar with, or able to become familiar within three months, relevant federal and state regulations, college policy, and available funding options related to craft beverage recipe development and production.
- The Assistant Director-Lead Distiller will work in close concert with the Assistant Director-Lead Brewer, the Director of Business (for Percival Creek), and the Lab Manager-Lead Chemist (for Tumwater Falls Laboratory).
- Fine dining in the , offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices as part of our Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts programs
- Works with the Business Director to maintain regulatory compliance related to the Craft Brewing and Distilling Program and Percival Creek LLCs with regulatory/licensing agencies including TTB, FDA, LCB, DOH, DOR, and with the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges
