- Position Focus: Reporting to the Assistant Dean of the Career Development Office (CDO) and working closely with the Director of Judicial Clerkships and Director of Public Interest, the Assistant Director is involved in all aspects of the judicial clerkship and YLS fellowship hiring processes for Yale Law School students and alumni with a particular focus on resource development and data analytics.
- Serves as project leader managing the collection, maintenance, and analysis of current and historic data on judicial clerkships and YLS fellowships, involving extensive communication with YLS alumni and the development of systems and protocols for data maintenance and reporting to the Dean, faculty and other constituents.
- Manages direct communication with alumni, judicial chambers, and fellowship host organizations to obtain and report accurate and timely information on clerkship and fellowship hiring.
- Manages Student Services Coordinator in coordinating 50+ programs annually to educate students about judicial clerkship and YLS fellowship opportunities.
- This involves managing the Yale Law fellowship application process from point of application to onboarding new fellows to their host organizations, overseeing and providing strategic guidance for the Common Fellowship Application Platform and all of CDO’s fellowship resources, and communicating and coordinating efforts with the Yale Office of Fellowship Programs, YLS Faculty Committees and Centers overseeing fellowships, and the YLS Business Office.
