- Working under the direction of the Director of Leadership Giving, the Assistant Director will be focused on proactively qualifying and soliciting leadership-level support for The 1811 Society, a group of the most generous supporters of the MGH Fund.
- The Assistant Director collaborates with development colleagues to solicit unrestricted and restricted gifts as appropriate and is responsible for identifying and connecting donors with Major Gifts and Planned Giving colleagues.
- Additionally, the Assistant Director partners with and assists MGH Fund colleagues to drive initiatives to grow philanthropy to the MGH Fund, including the execution of a strategic annual stewardship, cultivation and solicitation activities for The 1811 Society.
- In 2021, we launched our largest-ever comprehensive fundraising effort - The Campaign for Mass General - which seeks to raise $3 billion in philanthropic funding that will help us reach our four ambitious campaign goals, each grounded in a pillar of Mass General's historic mission to treat, discover, teach and serve.
- Manage a prospect pool of approximately 350+ members of and prospects for The 1811 Society, and meet the following targets: Raise $750K-1M in revenue annually, with an emphasis on gifts for the MGH Fund. Complete 70 prospect and donor meetings annually.
