- The department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the areas of neurologic and geriatric physical therapy.
- Primary responsibilities will include teaching in the neurologic course series and teaching in the geriatric course with future opportunities for course directing these courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) curriculum.
- Additional responsibilities of the position include scholarship, student advising, and service on departmental committees.
- The ideal applicant will be a physical therapist eligible for Illinois licensure (required) with an earned DPT plus clinical specialization in Neurologic and/or Geriatric Physical Therapy and/or PhD/DSc/EdD. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in teaching and possible course directing in neurologic and geriatric coursework in entry-level physical therapy curricula and a scholarly record including peer-reviewed publications and national presentations.
- In this position, the candidate will have primary responsibilities to substantially contribute in our top-ranked DPT teaching program that is innovative, team-based, concept-structured, based on scientific evidence, and emphasizes active student learning.
