- UAM, one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautiful timberlands, rich in outdoor recreation activities, and approximately 100 miles south of Little Rock. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master's degree programs.
- The tenure-track, 12-month position will carry the rank of assistant or associate professor with an approximate appointment of 70% research and 30% teaching.
- Research interests may be focused in any of the following areas: forest insects and diseases, forest fire, invasive/exotic species, forest disturbance, climate change, forest-environmental interactions, and the influence of forest management on stand/ecosystem health.
- The College of Forestry, Agriculture & Natural Resources has undergraduate programs in Natural Resources Management (with options in forestry, wildlife management & conservation, geospatial science, environmental science, and communications), Agriculture (options in Agribusiness, Animal Science, Plant and Soil Science, Site Specific Management, and General Agriculture), and in Land Surveying.
- The College also offers a M.S. level graduate program with emphasis areas in forest science, geospatial science, wildlife ecology and management, and natural resources management.
