- A. POSITION PURPOSEThe Applied Sciences Librarian provides specialized research consultation, instruction, and collection development for all undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Engineering, and the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Physics.
- In collaboration with the Business and Data Services Librarian, support library-wide data initiatives, including data literacy instruction.
- Conducts research related to library science and/or another appropriate academic discipline; presents results at conferences and/or through publication.
- Required Master’s degree from an ALaccredited (or equivalent) library science or information science programAt least two years experience providing research and instructional services in a library.
- Committed to advancing inclusion, diversity, and social justice in library services and programsEducation Master’s degree from an ALaccredited (or equivalent) program in library science and/or information scienceYears of Experience At least two years of experience providing research and instructional services in a library.
