- Within BCD, The Antimicrobial Resistance Unit (ARU) is comprised of four teams: AR Data and Surveillance, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), Antimicrobial Stewardship, and One Health.
- Assess impact of stewardship efforts using external prescription data-Act as analytical support as needed for various antimicrobial resistance/infection prevention and control (IPC) projects-Present results of data analyses to internal and external stakeholders-Assist with core ARU duties and needs such as carbapenem-resistant organism (CRO) investigations, quality assurance (QA) activities, whole genome sequencing (WGS) efforts etc.
- Other tasks may include supporting the Surveillance and Epidemiology (SurvEpi) Emergency Response Group while the DOHMH Incident Command System is activated, for future NYC emergencies.
