- Job Summary The Mechanic 1 (India/Muti-Foreign component): performs maintenance on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, hydraulic, engines, avionics, armament, gear boxes, rotor systems, plane captain qualifications, flight schedule and operations, ventilation and heating systems and phase and preservation services.
- Essential Responsibilities: Repairs and rebuilds all aircraft systems to include aircraft structure system, engine/gearbox/rotor system, all avionic systems.
- Blades and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, ensuring hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills are being used properly, wire, canon plugs, system avionic boxes, rewire, cockpit avionics, paint/corrosion on all aircraft systems.
- Replace or repair worn or damaged components, such as generators, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or crane, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
- Job duties require that this Mechanic 1 adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, and miscellaneous duties to include servicing aircraft, including flushing gearbox, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, checking brakes and corrosion prevention of aircraft.
