Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Admitting Patient Representative I Per Diem determines appropriate patient placement in the hospital by taking into consideration the diagnosis, symptoms, and patient’s age. Initiates admission process by obtaining demographic data, insurance information, and pre-certification or insurance authorization for admission, for all direct (urgent) admissions. Assigns attending physician as directed. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years’ registration experience plus 6+ months insurance verification experience. Education/Licensure/Certification: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Pay Scale Information $24.15-$24.15 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
