- The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national nonprofit association established in 1863 that represents more than 105,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Division of Animal and Public Health , located at our Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois – a northwest suburb of Chicago.
- The AVMA’s mission is to lead the profession by advocating for its members and advancing the science and practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal and human health.
- This position will provide administrative support to the Division Director; along with other professional staff of the division/Public Policy unit, and governance entities, as requested.
- This position will coordinate meetings, prepare minutes and correspondences, arrange travel, update policies, process invoices, provide general office support (file, mail, copy, maintain inventory); along with other duties as assigned.
