- Description The School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts, Texas A&M University, invites applications for one non-tenured, academic professional track position as an Instructional Assistant or Instructional Associate Professor or Associate Professor of Practice in visual computing and computational media for virtual production.
- The school and the faculty section of Visual Computing & Computational Media are developing a team of faculty whose career aspirations are in teaching with expertise in the one or more of the following areas:· visual computing,· computational media,· interactive media.
- Programming language application areas include:· narrow generative AI in graphics and simulation,· real-time graphics, simulation, and data visualization,· motion tracking, volumetric capture,· 3D scanning and imaging, mechatronics and fabrication,· acoustics in virtual environments.
- The VPI’s first production stages and labs will open in the - academic year near the Texas A&M University main campus in Bryan/College Station and the Texas A&M - Fort Worth campus in downtown Fort Worth.
- The VPI is part of the School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts (PVFA).
