- The UCSB Central Coast Community Labor Project invites applications for the position of Academic Coordinator.
- The Academic Coordinator is supervised by the Community Labor Project Executive Director and will liaise with the Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality, and Democracy, ISBER (Institute for Social, Behavioral, and Economic Research), the Offices of the Deans of Social Sciences and Humanities and Fine Arts, and academic departments that share responsibility for administering and staffing the interdisciplinary minor in Labor Studies.
- Planning, administrative, and logistical assistance in support of research related to the Community Labor Project, including baseline research on the state of labor on the Central Coast and other faculty-led research, assistance with administering and monitoring faculty/student grants, workshops, and campus/community outreach activities.
- Help recruit Labor Summer interns through publicity and communication strategies including social media, flyers, and class announcements
- Staff support for Labor Summer internship placements, student compensation, and liaison with internship providers and Community Labor Project Advisory Committee members Organize Labor Summer information sessions for student applicants
