Land subdivision companies plan and develop larger parcels into smaller lots for sale or future construction. Jobs often include land survey support, drafting/mapping, permit and documentation coordination, project scheduling, and field inspections. Expect hands-on, outdoor work for many roles, site visits to construction areas, and work that may require understanding local zoning and regulations; some positions may benefit from or require surveying-related certifications or training.
