- A safety orientation is required to perform work (e.g., driving, delivery, set up, loading and stocking of durable medical equipment as described) and follow safety operating procedures
- Technicians may periodically experience occupational exposure to bodily fluids, feces and blood (approximately 50%-75% of the time) when servicing, picking up and/or handling dirty durable medical equipment
- Technicians may seldom experience occupational exposure to other potentially infectious materials (approximately 0%-25% of the time) when delivering, servicing, picking up and/or handling durable medical equipment
- Incumbents must have the ability to lift, carry, push and pull durable medical equipment that weighs up to 80 lbs.
- With assistance, incumbents must have the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and handle awkward sized/shaped durable medical equipment that weights between 90 lbs.
