- The SLAC Technology Transfer Manager is a senior member of the Technology Transfer and Strategic Partnerships (TT&SP) Office in the organization of the Deputy Director for Science and Technology of SLAC. The SLAC Technology Transfer Manager reports to the director of TT&SP and leads the tech transfer function of the TT&SP organization.
- Develops and executes SLAC’s technology transfer initiatives with guidance from the TT&SP director and senior technical leaders and in partnership with Stanford University’s Office of Technology Licensing.
- Designs and executes a SLAC tech transfer program informed by best-in-class practices across the national lab complex, academia and the private sector.
- As a tech transfer advisor, supports SLAC researchers in understanding the translation potential of scientific discoveries into future technologies and critical applications; helps define the value proposition and pursues path to commercialization of SLAC’s core technologies.
- Develop and execute vision for SLAC’s tech transfer program and activities; evaluate programs or functions, policies, and procedures related to the technology transfer mission; identify issues, develop and implement solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures across the lab and university.
