- Performs scientific and biomedical reviews of web-based, peer-reviewed and vendor-sourced technical materials pertaining to ingredients, technologies, clinical studies, physiology, chemistry and safety in order to create recommendations, develop product concepts, create product formulations, substantiate and write structure/function (S/F) claims.
- Provides advanced expertise and makes the determination of regulatory status of dietary ingredients pertaining to their pre-DSHEA or NDI status, including safety assessment of ingredients subject to regulatory status determination.
- Expands NOW’s product line through proposal of ingredients, product formulation, delivery systems, and packaging options.
- Acts as a resource for consulting and advisory knowledge and serves as a mentor and trainer in areas of expertise.
- Ph. D. in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field is required; 2 years of management experience is required.
