- Under general supervision performs work of moderate difficulty in the coordination and execution of safety and training plans for all Public Works departmental safety and training activities; administers and directs Department’s training and development programs by performing a broad range of professional and lead training work, requisite in overseeing and coordinating training programs designed to significantly impact the department.
- Develops, coordinates and implements a comprehensive training plan for the Public Works Department
- Creates and executes a multi-media communications plan focused on internal training and communication for team members
- Coordinates with Public Works Division Managers to ensure each division training plan adequately addresses safety and training needs for staff members, as well as assessing training priorities for the entire Public Works team
- May provide guidance and support in curriculum development and research, support in facilitation, or additional resources, as needed
