- Act as part of the medical services team providing preventive health care, the full scope of primary care medical services, and reproductive health care according to PPMW protocols and operational processes as directed by the Chief Medical Officer, Primary Care Program Director, and the Center Manager.
- Provide patients with appropriate and unbiased information, education and resources related to general health, chronic medical conditions, principles of health promotion and maintenance, family planning methods, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy options and abortion services.
- Perform appropriate physical examinations, medical assessment and management for a range of conditions, including but not limited to: Diabetes Hypertension Hyperlipidemia Anemia Asthma Migraines Headaches Depression Anxiety GERD and Peptic Ulcers Thyroid Disorders Common Pulmonary Infections Hormone Therapy for Transgender Clients Tobacco Cessation Breast and Pelvic Exams STI testing Genitourinary Conditions Cancer Screening Tests
- After observation and approval, perform procedures as trained/privileged, such as EKG, spirometry, IUC insertion/removal, implant insertion/removal, colposcopy, LEEP, surgical abortion, medication abortion and colposcopy service, as appropriate.
- Provide all aspects of abortion care allowed by law and within PPMW Medical Standards and Guidelines and protocols.
