Benefits:        Paid time off    DNA Eye Group is looking for a dedicated Optometric Technician who will assist the optometrist in pretesting patients and who is an essential part of our front office team providing exceptional patient care.This position is part of our team who covers patient care at two (2) office locations: Chandler (85226) and Stapley (85204)Our Offices are Open 7 days (Sunday-Saturday) from 9:00AM-6:00PMMust be Available to Work on WEEKDAYS and WEEKENDS at either officeWill not schedule at both locations during the same day Working Environment:On-site, inside of our practices (no remote work available)DNA Eye Group scrub top uniformPatient care and customer service Sitting, standing, and moving around to different roomsExtended periods on the computer and examination equipmentMulti-phone linesAbility to work at different locationsAbility to lift up to 20 lbs.Minimum Qualifications:A high school diploma or equivalent.  Experience in the optometry or medical field preferred.  Essential Duties:Greet patients by providing professional and friendly customer serviceAnswer phones, schedule appointments, insurance verifications, patient check in and out processes, collect copays, patient intake duties, and referralsEnter patient data, maintain patient demographics, HIPAA compliance confidential dataExplain processes to prepare patients for pretesting, perform vision pre-screenings, take legible notes during examinations, transition patients to doctorsProvide exceptional patient carePromptly review and reply to voice messages Perform minor maintenance on examination equipment or contact the supervisor Daily office cleaning and sanitation of examination equipmentPerform and document no show, NEE, and courtesy reminder callsCommunicate effectively with patients, doctors, and fellow teammatesAbility to be scheduled at different office locations during the weekExcellent attendance and punctuality are essential for our patient careOther duties as assignedDesired Qualifications:Experience using optical pretesting equipment Evidence of strong working relationship with doctorsExperience in customer serviceBilingual (Spanish preferred)Ability to self-motivate with the experience to work under pressureOptometric technician certification or Associate's degree, optometric technicianAssociates or higher degree in the medical, human relations, or related fields
