- The Louisiana Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders (LCBCD) full-time Hemophilia Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services for the patients of the Center, both pediatric and adult, including clinical care, research participation, outreach, and education.
- This position involves seeing patients at the LCBCD Lakeside clinic, UMC New Orleans clinic, and outreach clinics located throughout the state (currently Lafayette and Alexandria).
- This position also includes providing physical therapy services and education at summer camp, patient retreats, and community events.
- The primary clinical responsibilities will include: administering treatment modalities, joint injection duties, using ultrasound as a diagnostic tool, restoring range of motion, ensuring patient quality-of-life and activities of daily living, gait and mobility, pre-op and post-op therapy, telephone consultation and community education.
- The full-time physical therapist will be an integral member of the LCBCD comprehensive interdisciplinary team.
