- Job Summary:# To establish guidelines for the position of exercise physiologist (EP), Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation (CPR) services will staff exercise physiologists who have experience working with patients in clinical exercise therapy programs for cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic diseases.
- The EP is responsible for the evaluation of patients# endurance, strength, and flexibility; developing, implementing, and updating patient exercise prescriptions; educating patients on equipment use; and educating patients on scales used during CPR, including, but not limited to rate of perceived exertion, dyspnea, and pain.
- The EP will also be responsible for coordinating exercise physiology student internships.
- Demonstrate technical aptitude for using and troubleshooting multiple pieces of equipment, including aerobic and resistance exercise equipment, blood pressure machines, oximeters, scales, and telemetry monitoring.
- Demonstrate an aptitude of oxygen management for rehabilitation, including oxygen safety and supply.
