- Responsibilities of the City Manager's Office include: Cable Television, Citizen Assistance, Community Relations, Economic Development, Emergency Preparedness, Labor Relations, Film Permits, Legislative Affairs, Special Events Review, Torrance Strategic Plan, and Volunteer Program.
- Experience in developing and implementing disaster preparedness training and operations;
- Possess or plan to obtain Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) / Associate Emergency Management (AEM) credential.
- In addition, incumbents may work in a wide variety of staff positions in the disaster response organization, including responding to operational areas and field locations to ensure coordination of mutual aid and State disaster response, regional and State operations centers, and disaster field offices.
