- SAIC is a prime contractor partnered with the US Navy to provide MK48 Heavyweight Torpedoes and torpedo test sets to the Fleet.
- SAIC seeks a Chief Engineer of Torpedo Programs to participate in the execution of current programs and design of future weapons and test sets.
- The Chief Engineer of Torpedo Programs will lead systems engineering lifecycle implementation and process improvement and implementation activities across several disciplines including configuration management, reporting systems and software build and delivery, risk management, quality assurance, and customer engagement.
- Responsibilities include overseeing the systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Requirements Analysis, Architecture Design, Implementation, Verification and Validations, Transition, Support, and Disposal.
- This position will be involved with program schedule and budget planning to ensure compliance with SAIC earned value management processes, support training of SAIC team, and ensure that system requirements are being met.
