Full-time
- Body and Fender Mechanic positions perform skilled repair work on automotive, construction and industrial equipment; repair and replace body parts; straighten and repair frames; sand, paint, buff and weld; replace windshields and other glass; perform metal fabrication projects, assist Equipment Mechanics; and perform other duties as assigned.
- Body and Fender Mechanic employees with valid ASE Certifications for Collision Repair/Refinishing and/or Damage Analysis and Estimating are eligible for additional pay.
- Body and Fender Mechanic employees may be required to work nights or unusual shift work for which they may receive 5% additional pay.
- Successful completion of a state-accredited four-year Body and Fender Mechanic Apprenticeship Program.
- Four years of full-time experience in all phases of work as a journey-level Body and Fender Mechanic such as repairing and replacing body parts; fiberglass work; glass installation; automotive painting preparation and painting; frame alignment and straightening; unitized body alignment and sectional repairs; body parts adjustments; minor mechanical and electrical repairs; and welding and metal fabrication.
