- Summary The Biomedical Equipment Technician I performs operational and safety testing, maintenance and repairs on general patient care equipment for Methodist Healthcare.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on general patient care equipment including but not limited to Infusion/PCA/Syringe/Ambulatory Pumps, Physiological/Fetal/EKG/Vital Signs Monitors, Infant Radiant Warmers & Incubators, Treadmills, Defibrillator/Pacemakers, Warming Cabinets, Patient Warming/Cooling Units, Patient Compression Units, General PT Equipment, General Respiratory Equipment, & other General Biomedical Equipment.
- Education/Experience/Licensure Education/Formal Training Work Experience Credential/Licensure REQUIRED: Associate’s Degree or Military Training in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- One (1) year of Clinical/Biomedical Engineering experience.
- PREFERRED: N/A N/A N/A SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED: High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience in clinical engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience (electronic engineering, computer, or related engineering experience) or Successful completion of the MLH internship.
