- The Associate Athletic Director exercise meaningful compliance oversite for the operations of the athletics program that interact with other offices and department throughout the campus (e.g., admissions, financial aid, bursar, registrar, institutional research, international student services, public safety, residence life, bookstore).
- The Associate Director for Compliance position is a supervisory administrative position in the St. John's University Athletic Department and reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance program for all financial aid activities for each sport program including NCAA squad lists, outside aid, summer aid, winter aid, athletic scholarship renewals, increases, decreases, non-renewals, voluntary cancellations of aid, book scholarship, off campus stipends, holiday break stipends, and cost of attendance checks, non-resident alien taxes for international student-athletes, athletic endowment awards, and Alston awards.
- Act as one of the Office of Athletics' liaisons to University officials related to rules compliance for Accounts Payable, Bursar, Student Financial Services, and Residence Life.
- Collaborate in providing NCAA rules education to coaches, student-athletes, athletic department administrators, prospective student-athletes, parents of PSAs and SAs, boosters, faculty members and other offices thorough out the university community (e.g., admissions, financial aid, bursar, registrar, institutional research, international student services, public safety, residence life, bookstore).
