- An Assistant Engineer II at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) can expect to work on some of the largest water treatment, storage, conveyance, distribution and recycling projects in the world.
- The Treatment Plant Design Team is responsible for the design of conventional and advanced water treatment plant facilities with an emphasis on process design.
- Processes may include ozonation, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, membrane bioreactors, reverse osmosis, UV disinfection, and advanced oxidation.
- In addition to capital improvement projects, the Assistant Engineer II may assist in investigations of existing facilities, structures, processes and equipment to resolve performance, operational, or reliability issues.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Assistant Engineer I level.
