The Bookkeeper reviews and processes financial requests from case managers, in accordance with program requirements and with CWS-Lancaster per-capita disbursement policy; cuts checks; and tracks direct aid expenses on QuickBooks. Excellent attention to detail and superior analytical skills are important traits for this position. Essential Duties Receives R&P and MG direct aid requests from resettlement staff weekly. Meets bi-weekly with Associate Director of Welcome and Resettlement Supervisor to reconcile data on direct aid expenditures. Produces customized reports on CWS-LN's use of direct aid to clients and synthesizes direct aid data for other internal uses, when needed. Meets with Associate Director of Integration, when needed, to reconcile other programs' direct aid expenditures. Processes and reconciles resettlement staff's credit card statements. Keeps up to date with existing per-capita disbursement policies and procedures, as well as other program compliance policies.Common Duties:Proactively coordinates and works in tandem with staff in the Welcome and Integration areas, promoting effective communication and ensuring timely corrective action is taken on direct aid disbursement and in-kind match collection issues when needed. Effectively uses technology to maximize efficiency and quality of work, especially in the development of innovative and precise tracking systems. Attends weekly meetings with supervisor and other agency staff.Undertakes other duties as assigned by the CWS Lancaster Finance Manager.Qualifications: Education: Associate degree or 2 years college education required, bachelor's degree preferred. Experience/Background: At least 2 yr administrative experience, including bookkeeping duties. Familiarity with refugee resettlement programs is highly preferred. POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing internal accounting processes and procedures, which includes managing budgeting, forecasting and projections as well as monthly invoicing and expense management for Lancaster City Alliance (LCA), Lancaster Downtown Investment District (DID), and Lancaster City Revitalization & Investment Zone (CRIZ). * Maintain the GiftWorks database with gift and pledge revenue and prepare reports for fundraising campaigns as needed and required.


* Annually, prepare for the audits for both DID and LCA, as well as complete year end processes for GAAP statements and processing of 1099's.


* Assist in the development of effective internal processes and procedures, as well as maintaining high customer service levels for internal team members and customers


* Recommend suggestions for improving efficiencies within the organization by monitoring and identifying trends, and best practices.
