Training and Professional Development- Complete and maintain all required training and certifications according to Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and Jubilee requirements, including first aid and CPR, Mandt, Certified Medication Technician (CMT), and training specific to each person you support.

Oversees and manages the continuity and consistency of medication training, pharmacy management and medication supervision and/or administration in the community. Assists in the supervision of community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers and provides training and education to Caregivers on an ongoing basis to include classroom in-services and situation-specific training.

Current state Geriatric Nursing Assistant registration, current CPR certification and medication administration training, or be able to obtain. Provides medication assistance by following assisted living guidelines, if approved by delegating nurse.

Duties may include venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration, measurement, and documentation of vital signs, and assisting providers with patient exams, and telephone and clerical support.

The main focus is to provide services like medication administration and personal care services in the Assisted Living department. Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques is required.
