The Project Architect will work with project teams. Active engagement and support of our collaborative and iterative design process is essential, along with the desire to seek innovative design solutions while providing unique perspectives on the built environment.\nThe successful candidate will be proactive with strong verbal, organizational and technical skills to effectively coordinate with architectural design teams as well as engineering design professionals. Aviation is the primary market sector served from the Seattle office.\nThis is an opportunity to apply your talents to some of the world's most challenging, interesting, and meaningful projects in an environment committed to excellence in innovation, technical quality and client service.\nResponsibilities Participate in projects from conceptual design phase through completion of construction.\nProvide architectural guidance, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.\nProvide architectural design and support on complex projects.\nDevelop contract documents through all phases of design (SD, DD, CD).\nPrepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications.\nCoordinate quality control reviews of contract documents prior to issuance to client.\nCoordinate internal AECOM and external A/E disciplines for successful outcomes during construction.\nCoordinate and attend design reviews with clients, project managers, and municipal agencies.\nBe highly proficient in Revit, Autodesk 360, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.\nQualifications Accredited Bachelor's degree in Architecture and +6 years of experience with an architectural firm or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nPreferred Qualifications Ideal candidate will have over 8 years of professional experience with an architectural firm.\nMust be committed to working towards licensure or already licensed.\nTechnical skills related to planning, architectural design and detailing.\nExperience coordinating work with a variety of disciplines: civil, landscape, and MEPS.\nDiversified knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.\nAviation, commercial and/or transportation project experience strongly desired.\nWorking knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nHighly Proficient in 3D modeling software: Revit, SketchUp and/or Rhino.\nExcellent communication skills with peers, clients and contractors.\nAbility to work as team player with peers.\nExperience with construction administration and permitting processes.\nAdditional Information This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future.\nHybrid work environment – Remote position not available.\nBenefits Medical\nDental\nVision\nLife\nAD&D\nDisability benefits\nPaid time off\nLeaves of absences\nVoluntary benefits\nPerks\nFlexible work options\nWell-being resources\nEmployee assistance program\nBusiness travel insurance\nService recognition awards\nRetirement savings plan\nEmployee stock purchase plan\nAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in your potential and are here to help you achieve it.
